  • We're located 85 miles from Yellowstone Park via Cody.

Danny Sedam expects you'll find it fun at OASIS MOTEL & RV PARK. We want it to be easy to explore.

Welcome to our new website for the 2019 Season. Knowing some of the basics will help.

OASIS MOTEL & RV PARK is a proven resource for mountaineering fans of the wild west.

Our new guest services desk is going to be released as a simple mobile software app that allows you to create and manage your getaway easily by separating the creation of your trip from the mechanics required to get you through it all by using your web connection to run our app.

Within this new portal site at OASIS, every web page component is stored in our database. The look and feel are created by our template. OASIS MOTEL & RV PARK brings together the template and your booking details to create your stay and page views you see are rendered in your web pages at our portal.

    Logging in

To login to our portal, use the user name and password that was generated in part by you as part of booking your reservation at The OASIS. Once logged-in you will be able to interact with your page to see your adventure all laid out to help you enjoy your stay here in the mountains of Wyoming. We've made it easy to create content, upload your photos and author and edit your own articles to share with other guests, and even to modify some settings to suit your liking.

    Tell your story

Once you are logged-in, a new menu will be visible. To create a new story, click on the "Tell your story" link on that menu.

The new article interface gives you a lot of options, but all you need to do is add a title and put something in the content area. To make it easy to find, set the state to published.

You can edit an existing article by clicking on the edit icon (this only displays to users who have the right to edit).

    Template, site settings, and modules

The look and feel of our site is controlled by our template. We can change the site name, background colour, highlights colour and more by editing the template settings. For all those that join in with everyone using the Jimmy System, we get to click the "Template Settings" in the user menu to customize this system for each one's own Motel, etc.

The Balance of this reading is geared toward using the system to run the business online

The boxes around the main content of the site are called modules. You can modify modules on the current page by moving your cursor to the module and clicking the edit link. Always be sure to save and close any module you edit.

You can change some site settings such as the site name and description by clicking on the "Site Settings" link.

More advanced options for templates, site settings, modules, and more are available in the site administrator.

    Site and Administrator

Jimmy has made our website actually have two separate sites. The portal site (also called the front end) is what visitors to our site will see. The administrator (also called the back end) is only used by Dan, Heather, Jim and if we appoint any other people to managing our site. We get to access the administrator by clicking the "Site Administrator" link on the "User Menu" menu (visible once you login) or by adding /administrator to the end of your domain name. The same user name and password are used for both sites.

There is much more to learn about how to use Jimmy! to create the website you envision. You can learn much more at the Jimmy! documentation site and on the Jimmy! forums.
